Examples of early 1940's cone top beer cans. This pair of cans represents the prewar transition away from the very early low profile cans to the final high profile configuration. The earlier one "early 40's bulb" on the left was produced about 1941 and the standard one on the right was produced several months later. Production of the standard top the continued to the mid 1950's.
